How good a chili cook are you? Enter the Chili Cook-Off for $10 to win a trophy and a cash prize.  Fancy yourself a fudge officianado? Bring your best batch and win prizes that include a $25 gift certificate from Candy Boquet. Do you have a way with pumpkin?  Enter the pumpkin bread/cake contest.  The winners of these contests will be announced at 11:30.  Nothin' says lovin' like somethin' from your oven!! All are welcome to show their love for animals by bringing baked goods for the  BAKE SALE  at Paws for the Cause.  You may drop them off between 9 and 10 am on Saturday, Oct.24th at the southwest corner of the Centennial Bank Park(Jefferson St.)  New this year is a special section for treats for our pets.

As a more healthy alternative to the Fat Cat photo contests of the past, we will hold a CUTEST CAT POSES PHOTO CONTEST at this year's Paws for the Cause.  Stone County Leader will provide the prizes and the judges for the contest and we are grateful for their help.  Entries should be taken to the clothesline exhibit area in Centennial Bank's Park at Paws for the Cause no later than 10:45 am that Saturday, Oct 24th. Photos must be 5X7 inch prints and may be mounted on any 8.5Xll paper with the photographer's name & contact information on the back preferably in the bottom left corner.
There's plenty of time to capture your cutie and what fun
it will be to see them there!  Let's show those canines what
those felines are up to!

People for 3-Legged Pets Championship Races will be a new feature at the 2009 Paws for the Cause.  Anyone who has a 3-legged pet is invited to participate.  Pet owners are asked to recruit 4 pet-loving people to compete in these 3-legged races in honor of their 3-legged pet.  The pet need not be present to win but would be a treat to have around.   If not present, please bring a picture of your special cat or dog.  At 11 am, teams should be registered and assemble at the race track. There will be single elimination relay races and prizes for the winning team.
